- My dreams were to be a writer, a photographer, an artist. I ended up with a bachelors in English Education and a Master's in English Literatrue. As a teacher of English, I'm a little of all of these things. Because it's important, as a teacher of writing, to write, to do what I tell my students, I've published poetry in numerous places, and I write professional journals. In my private life, I still dream of being a photographer and an artist, so I try. Blogging is new to me, but I think it's the one place all of my passions can come to fruition. My hope is in the next year, I'll be able to post my work, be inspired to do more and learn, learn, learn. As a teacher, I've discovered the profession is more about learning than anything; I'm a student at heart--at student of life, and through writing, photography and art, I can make sense of the world around me.
